The only chance of exchanges in CEE is to follow the Viennese model and to turn towards 'the regions where big money comes from', that being the US, Great Britain, and Western Europe, says Cristoph Boschan, CEO of the Vienna Stock Exchange. He gave the Vienna Stock Exchange as an example, where 85% of trades come from abroad, especially the US. He also claims that the stock exchanges need to facilitate the access of local investors to the international financial markets.
